At First Sight

It's really rare that I see a piece and immediately fall in love with it (unless of course it's light years out of my price range). I don't make that kind of judgement call on something before I try it on and fully examine how it wears, be it a piece of clothing, jewelry, or in this case, a bag. For me, bags are the worst, because I'm SUPER picky about them, I need a fair amount of room (since I keep my life in my bag), and I don't like my bags to be just "standard". This one certainly fits the bill of being "unique".

First of all, those at Modcloth have dubbed this bag the "Here I Go Again Purse" after the epic Whitesnake song with the equally epic music video. I am a lover of all things 80s hair metal, and this particular song has a special place in my heart.

Second of all, it's just amazing. I also kind of adore fringe, but whenever I tossed a fringed bag over my shoulder I would look at my mother and go "Does it make me look like I'm Davey Crockett's girlfriend" to which she would immediately respond "Yes". This, however, is far from Crockett territory, I think it looks pretty bad ass. I'm not usually one for hardware on my bags, but I really love it on this one. Do I think it will hold all of my stuff....okay no. But for the use of this bag I would be willing to downsize. I just think it will offset the girlishness of Spring's trends SO PERFECTLY. And now I need to set aside some money for it when I begin working again this summer. Fingers crossed it doesn't go out of stock!
