Floral Fiasco

Sorry about the lack of posts, I threw myself into school work at the end of break and I honestly still have very little time to think about much else. But I'm doing my best!

So, back when we were all just contemplating our upcoming Spring fashion choices, I hemmed and hawed about the floral debate. Did I like them? Didn't I? Would I be able to wear them? After my internet search I posted what I thought I might like here, but I didn't really come down on the yay or nay side.

Ma and I went on a huge Spring shopping day last week, and I tried on a bunch of floral pieces, including this dress, which was in the aforementioned post, at Forever 21. I put it on, opened the door to the dressing room to show my mother, and told her what it made me think. "I'm not this girl."

Still, I am DETERMINED to somehow introduce more prints into my wardrobe, florals included. I'm in love with this dress from the Liberty of London capsule collection for target:

But I'm afraid it's not going to work! I requested that Ma pick one up for me since there's no Target around here, and I have my fingers crossed that I won't put it on and immediately regret it. I don't understand what the problem is! I am open minded to florals and still they seem to elude me.

Any floral challenged people out there who know how to make them work?
