"...It was because of the sun."

I feel like I always need sunglasses. Generally this is because I buy cheap sunglasses, and they either break randomly, like the sunglasses whose frames snapped while they were on my face and I was sitting in a car for 4 hours, or they get mistreated. I have stepped on and sat on various pairs, as well as tossing them into my bag only to find an arm snapped off later. It's a problem I have really. Since the random breaking on my face incident having happened just about a week ago, I am again searching, especially since Spring is supposed to be coming. But there are so many choices!

I know that I should buy plastic, because my face is fairly small and metal frames always end up being too big and sliding off my face. Still, metal aviators are just SO COOL, and I can hardly resist. I also can't decide if I should invest or not. And I'm not sure if I want to look more glam or quirky cool. It's so difficult really. These are three choices I like so far:

Last summer I was all about the Wayfarer, but so was everyone else. I'm also not sure if the smaller frames work on my face sometimes, I'm rather undecided. This updated version of the wayfarer is bigger, totally chic, and they also come in a dark purple version with crystal green lenses. Not to mention I can get them on Amazon for less than a hundred bucks.

This pair by Metropark is a funky, rounder wayfarer shape, and they're only $14. I'm also kind of digging the clear frames, but when I tried searching for some more choices online I came up pretty short. Also, these are out of stock. I put in my e mail to be informed when they are back in stock...if they ever are.

I know that these Ray Bans are the big bad metal framed kind, but the color combination is so unique that I can't help but consider them. The $145 price tag makes them quite the investment, but they might be worth it. After all, all these are is a classic aviator with a twist.

Well, I'm certainly no where near a decision. I guess I'll have to keep looking. What's your verdict, invest in sunglasses, or keep buying cheapo pairs at whim?
