I cut down trees, I wear high heels

Cocoa Jacket, found at Marshalls. Forever 21 rings. Maurice's lace top. American Eagle Outfitters Jeans. Michael by Michael Kohrs boots.

The weather here in Jersey has been absolutely bitter of late, and I hate the cold, so naturally I just always feel like I'm freezing. When I found this jacket yesterday on an impromptu Marshall's trip with my Mother, I really liked the plaid accent, but the fact that it was made of supersoft sweatshirt material and still cute sealed the deal. I really dislike layering and having to cover every inch of my skin in order to avoid shivering and gooseflesh. But I dislike the shivering and gooseflesh more.

The boots were a great find last year; the laces are forgiving to my thick calves, which generally aren't knee high boot friendly. Plus they make me feel like a snow bunny, which I'm not. I was enjoying the lumberjack vibe really, but I added the lace top and gold jewelry to make it more femme.

Lacking any other engagements, the family plus boyfriend went to see "It's Complicated" in the theater. I was afraid that this would make me feel like "Something's Gotta Give" would. Charming actors, charming idea, but just...not hitting home for my age group. The thing is though, I adore Meryl. She's everything I wish I could be, and when I entertain the idea of being an actress (hah) I just really want to be her. I also like Alec Baldwin here and there. I mean, have you seen "She's Having a Baby"? The man was hot in his day, and he's still funny as hell. Long story short, I enjoyed it. I had no choice, Steve Martin always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
